Lightley's Wooden Toys is a family enterprise that evolved from a love for wood. All the toys are handmade by Don, Robin and Elfreda. I, Don, have worked with wood most of my life in various Professions. My son Robin showed an interest in making Toys and it soon became a fulltime job for him. Robin does the cutting and painting, I do the machine work and assembling, and my wife Elfreda does the art and decorative work.

Our focus is on educational toys that promote the motor skills of "little folk".

We have a variety of pull-along toys such as turnblocks and wiggly worms, and push-along penguins. Our aeroplanes are ready to take off at any time and the helicopters have double rotors.

The tip trucks, log trucks and truck-and-trailers will delight any boy. For the girls there are also high chairs and cots.

Our baby walkers will be enjoyed for many years after walking is mastered. We have various train sets from dinkie trains to big choo choo trains.

The spinning tops are excellent for promoting hand-eye co-ordination. We cater for ages from 3 months to 7 years and all our toys are brightly painted with lead-free paint.
