When the spring flowers burst into bloom in our fair Cape

Silkwing Butterflies will be swarming to get their share of

the new spring nectar

And while some are massing to greet the first warmth of spring

 

silkwing butterflies not finished

others are still having to undergo final metamorphosis,

proof that faeries come from butterflies?

or is it butterflies that come from faeries?

 

 

and still others in kit form

silkwing butterfly parts stored

wait silently incomplete, in tupperware cocoons

all packed and stacked

ready for assembly and final release
